All,
Since we're not meeting tonight, I thought I'd throw this out there and see if anyone wants to respond. I'm curious as to what your goals are? We can get into history, past experiences another time, but specifically - what are you looking forward to? Have you set various targets for yourself?
I guess I can't ask a question without answering it, so here are some of my goals in a nutshell:
I arrived in Denver in September and in four short months gained 20-25 lbs. Thank you, Peanut Butter M&Ms and PastaRoni. I am currently studying, and I also have roommates (which I haven't had in a long time), which limits my pantry space and kitchen use. Oh, and I also now have no income. So I was going for shelf stable, cheap, and easy to prep. My first goal, then, is to lose those 25 lbs I put on since moving here.
Another goal - I have a box of clothes in storage that I fit into in 2014. Then, as I gradually gained weight throughout 2015 (not the first time, I assure you), I had to set them all aside. I want to fit back into those clothes! A lot of them are mostly new and extremely cute.
My third goal - I want to lose my back pain. Any time I gain weight to this extent, my back starts to hurt. I've gone to PT, the doctor (I do have a back condition, as it turns out), etc., but the best solution seems to be weight loss. I lose weight, and my back pain magically disappears!
Goal #4, and we'll call it good for the night. This one's a little weird. I had a laparoscopy in the fall of 2014, and I had three little scars in my tummy area. I was actually fond of those scars - they were signs that my pain was gone. As I've gained weight and my tummy has expanded, I can no longer see my scars. :-) Again, I know it's odd - but I want to be able to see my scars again.
Tons more, of course, but I feel lonely that I've been the only one posting! Won't someone else weigh in? (Haha)
